Love & Hip Hop: New York reality star Brittney Taylor has been arrested and charged with assaulting the father of her children with a baseball bat, according to reports.
A law enforcement official told TMZ that Taylor had gotten into a domestic dispute with her partner Afeez earlier this month. After the fight, a warrant was issued for her arrest. She would turn herself in a week later. The couple shares a 2-year-old and an 8-month-old.
A source close to the couple told TMZ that Afeez was in New York to see his children when the physical altercation took place. The insider further revealed that he was keeping his distance from Taylor because of former beef between the two.
Afeez and his mother were leaving the apartment where Taylor and her children reside when she said something to him that he ignored, the source said, adding that ignoring her while she spoke made her angry.
In a criminal complaint, Afeez told police that Taylor proceeded to strike him in the face in front of their children. He attempted to leave the scene of the incident but she followed him and attacked him with a bat, leaving him “with a laceration and significant facial bleeding.”
He went to a local hospital where he received stitches for a cut above his eye. She has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.
He then took to social media to make claims that he was assaulted, leaving fans speculating whether Taylor was involved.
In 2019, fellow LAHH star Remy Ma was arrested for punching Taylor at a concert.
At the time, she was charged with third-degree assault and four counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment. The charges were later dropped.
