Just two years after divorcing Meagan Good, Pastor Franklin has been captured on a surprising Cabo getaway, accompanied by Instagram fitness model Maria Castillo.
The sighting has left fans and followers buzzing, with many questioning the timing and nature of the relationship, especially since his divorce from Meagan Good was rumored to have been caused by her work and indecent exposure.
Franklin and Good announced their divorce in December 2021 after spending nine years together. The former couple tied the knot in June 2012. According to them, no one was “at fault” in their decision, and they shared that the separation was the best thing for both of them.
In March, the Harlem actress told Essence how the divorce affected her, noting that it wasn’t her decision to end her relationship with Franklin.
A few months after her divorce, Meagan Good was romantically linked to actor Jonathan Majors since 2023.
Now, the latest photos of her ex-husband suggest that Franklin has a new love interest, and fans online are intrigued.
The Seventh-day Adventist preacher was seen out and about holding hands with an unknown woman, who has since been identified as Los Angeles-based personal trainer Maria Castillo. The Flawed & Fit influencer recently shared photos from her trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Instagram.
The two love birds made a soft launch on Maria’s IG story, where she showed a side of his neck, capturing a part of his ear and signature necklace.
Soon after the photos hit the internet, fans did some digging and linked them two together.
The 46-year-old motivational speaker also recently appeared to be on vacation in the same tropical location as the fitness model. Plus, they follow each other on Instagram.
Social media users have been quick to respond, with some accusing Franklin of hypocrisy and others defending his right to move on and find happiness.
