Crystal Renay’s ex-husband, Ne-Yo, sparked a lot of conversation up and down the gossip train when he let the world know that he was in a polyamorous relationship with two girlfriends.
Ne-Yo has gone viral after videos of him holding hands with two women in Miami.
An Instagram user going by the handle Jaz uploaded a video of the R&B singer holding hands with his two female partners in Miami’s South Beach neighborhood on Monday, July 24.
Ne-Yo said, “Hey, yo, baby,” in response to the fan’s greeting. How are you?”
After the video caught fire on social media, the American singer shared his views on polyamorous relationships and polygamy, or having multiple spouses at the same time with TMZ.
Ne-Yo stated that he favored the legal union of multiple partners, with the option to marry his two new girlfriends without any say from the government.
According to him, the government should avoid people’s personal lives.
“I feel like in the realm of love and romance, you should let people do whatever they want to do. Can’t see how it’s hurting anybody,” Ne-Yo told the media outlet.
Shortly after the explosive interview, Ne-yo was found in his ex-wife’s comments section after a ‘seemingly’ shady post about his new relationship status.
On Tuesday, March 12, Renay took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a recent interview she did with PEOPLE.
The headline read, “Crystal Renay Is ‘Feeling Blessed and Grateful’ After Divorce from NE-YO: ‘I Chose My Self-Worth’ (Exclusive).”
In addition, Renay added a few words to the caption of the post.
“With grace and gratitude! I Choose Me…Everytime. Thank you, @people, for the exclusive!”
Ne-Yo appears to have glanced at her Instagram post. In addition, he decided to write a quick note.
“Congratulations,” he wrote under the post.

Renay also received one of the four homes they shared in Georgia and $20,000 for moving costs.
