Raioni Madison, an educator with a passion for community service, bid farewell to her role as a classroom teacher to devote her time entirely to advancing the mission of 3D Girls Inc.
3D Girls Inc. a nonprofit she established in 2012, is dedicated to empowering young women and their families.
Madison’s journey from teaching to nonprofit leadership represents a commitment to addressing disparities and fostering holistic growth among girls in her community.
After over a decade of serving as an educator, Raioni Madison has embarked on a new chapter in her career, transitioning from the classroom to the helm of the nonprofit organization she founded during her time at Kansas State University.
Inspired by her family’s legacy in education and driven by a desire to address disparities in community resources, Madison’s decision to focus full-time on 3D Girls reflects her dedication to empowering young girls and fostering their growth in STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics).
3D Girls Inc. stands as a beacon of support for young women and their families, with a multifaceted approach aimed at educational and financial empowerment.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Black girls, particularly in the wake of socioeconomic barriers, Madison and her team have embarked on a mission to serve 1,500 young women over three years, providing mentorship, educational workshops, and social and emotional wellness programs.
One of the hallmark initiatives of 3D Girls is the Girls Link Up program, which offers interactive online activities, STEAM curriculum, and social and emotional learning opportunities.
Transitioning seamlessly to virtual platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program has continued to engage and inspire girls, providing a platform for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
In addition to fostering creativity and skill-building, 3D Girls empowers young entrepreneurs through pitch competitions, providing capital and support for their business ventures.
Recent competitions have showcased the talent and ingenuity of young girls, with winners receiving funding and resources to further develop their enterprises.
Looking ahead, 3D Girls Inc. is poised for further expansion, with plans to launch a ninth-grade academy for high school girls. This initiative will provide enhanced opportunities for exploration and growth in tech-related fields, extending the reach of the nonprofit’s impactful programming.
Raioni Madison’s commitment to empowering the next generation of young women remains unwavering.
Through 3D Girls Inc., she continues to uplift and inspire, leaving a lasting legacy of empowerment and opportunity for generations to come.
