Raven-Symoné is sharing her experience regarding undergoing cosmetic surgeries when she was 15 years old.

In the newest episode of her podcast featuring her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday, former child star Raven-Symoné disclosed that she underwent her first breast reduction surgery and liposuction before she turned 18.

She disclosed that she underwent her first of two breast reduction surgeries after the adults in her life kept hammering in on it.

“I went from a triple D all the way down to a B. Someone said I needed to do it in order to get a show,” she recalled, adding that her father also “strongly” suggested that she have the procedure done.

Symoné, who starred in Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven” from 2003 to 2007, shared that the breast reduction led to her getting liposuction as well following the backlash regarding her weight.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’ And so, I got a twofer,'” she said.

The singer then revealed that young male viewers of “That’s So Raven” often desired her looks.

“I felt like boys watched the show because I had big boobs,” Symoné said. “I feel like that was the case. They came for the boobs and stayed for the comedy.”

The former star of The Cosby Show remembered that the operation involved considerable “paperwork” since she was a minor and came with complications. Upon waking up from the anesthesia, she experienced a seizure, and she noted that she still has scars on her breasts over 20 years later.

“I have scars. I still have scar tissue to this day,” she shared. “And I gained weight after and had to, like, go back for a quick little, like, [get] a little bit more out ’cause my breasts were still too big for others’ feelings.”

Symoné and Maday, who got married in June 2020 after five years together, discuss a range of topics from “current events to everlasting wonders” every Thursday on Tea Time with Raven & Miranda.

The 38-year-old comedian says she’s embraced more body positivity as she’s gotten older, adding, “There’s this beautiful embracing of the body now that I didn’t get as a young girl.”
