According to Kevin Hart, Tasha K allegedly operated the companies “to conceal her wrongful activities.”

Last month, Kevin Hart filed a lawsuit against Tasha K, accusing the internet personality of extortion.

The suit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court stems from an interview between Tasha K, whose government name is Latasha Kebe, and Miesha Shakes, his former personal assistant, from August 2017 to October 2020.

Tasha K sat down with the actor’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, in November 2023 to record a damning interview. Kevin Hart’s ex-assistant alleges that he cheated on his wife, has a gambling addiction, and more.

According to Hart, an alleged affiliate of Tasha K’s team later reached out to him, threatening to “publish the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000.”

Kevin Hart’s lawsuit claimed that they (Kebe and Shakes) allegedly warned him that the stories would be “damaging to [his] reputation.”

“You have already engaged in criminal conduct and tortious acts that would entitle Mr. Hart to monetary damages against you should he elect to commence civil litigation regarding this matter. To the extent that you do not cease and desist now, your liability for such monetary damages will increase, as will your exposure to criminal penalties,” the lawsuit read.

Now, Hart has submitted an amendment to the original suit, adding Yelen Entertainment LLC as a defendant.

In the new filing, Kevin Hart said Tasha’s husband is the principal of Yelen and that Yelen is “responsible for content [Tasha] publishes.”

In addition, his legal team stated that Yelen was “formed as a successor entity to Kebe Studios, the media company Tasha owned, before her losing a lawsuit against Cardi B. Hart accused the blogger of using the company to “evade financial liability.”
