Wendy Williams Breaks Silence on Health, Lawsuit & Lifetime Doc: ‘I Don’t Want That Money’

by Gee NY

Wendy Williams is setting the record straight on her health, the Lifetime & A&E lawsuit, and rumors about her mental state.

In a newly aired interview on The Breakfast Club, the legendary talk show host revealed that she is alcohol-free and focused on staying “sharp and tigh” despite ongoing speculation about her well-being.

Shutting Down Dementia Rumors

Addressing reports that she may be suffering from frontotemporal dementia, Wendy dismissed the claims as “ridiculous” and made it clear that she remains in control of her own narrative.

The former daytime TV queen, who has been under court-ordered guardianship since May 2022, is facing an uphill battle to reclaim her independence, as her family and friends actively fight the legal arrangement.

Speaking Out on the Lawsuit Against Lifetime & A&E

Wendy also distanced herself from the lawsuit filed by her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, against Lifetime and A&E Networks over the controversial Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary.

“I don’t want the lawsuit, I don’t want to be a part of it,” Wendy said. “I don’t want that kind of money. I’ve worked with Lifetime several times… enough that I would love to do something with them again. They are good people to me, and I’m good people to them.”

The lawsuit alleges that Wendy was exploited and paid just $82,000, with claims that her signature on the contract “does not appear to be genuine.”

But Wendy’s statement suggests she is not looking to burn bridges with the network, despite the legal battle.

While her guardian has described her as “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated,” Wendy’s family and friends strongly disagree. They have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise legal fees in an effort to end her guardianship.
