Parenting can be overwhelming, and one mother’s recent viral video on TikTok perfectly captures the mental exhaustion that can come with raising multiple children.
Lashae Tanimawo, a mother of four, opened up about her struggles with overstimulation and the relentless demands of motherhood after realizing she had mistakenly rushed to get her child ready for school—on a Saturday.
In the now-viral clip posted on TikTok (@lashae_mom4l), Tanimawo shares an emotional and candid moment as she describes waking up on a weekend morning, convinced it was a school day.
“Y’all, why am I up on Saturday morning?” she asks at the start of the video, frustration and exhaustion evident in her voice.

Tanimawo goes on to describe the immense mental strain she has been experiencing since becoming a mother of four, admitting that she sometimes struggles to keep track of the days due to the constant overstimulation.
“Ever since having four kids, the overstimulation has been real. The frustration has been real. The anger has been real. I woke up with a headache, not even knowing the day of the damn week,” she said.
She then explains how no one in her household corrected her mistake, leaving her scrambling to get her child dressed for school:
“Nobody said nothing. My husband in the house. Nobody said nothing. I’m all over the damn place.”
Tanimawo’s raw honesty resonated with many viewers, particularly other mothers who related to the challenges of balancing parenthood with personal well-being. The video has sparked discussions about maternal mental health, postpartum depression, and the societal pressure placed on mothers to constantly be on top of everything.
At one point, Tanimawo acknowledges that she has reached her limit, expressing a sentiment that many parents may relate to but struggle to admit openly:
“I swear to God, I’ve reached my mental state of overstimulation. I can’t handle no more. And I’m okay with saying that. I cannot handle no more kids. This don’t make no damn sense.”
The mother of four also questions whether she is still experiencing postpartum depression, despite thinking she had been recovering from it.
“I don’t know if this is postpartum depression still. I thought I was on my way out of that. I thought I was making my way out of that,” she added
The video has received an outpouring of support from parents who understand the mental toll of caregiving and the need for open conversations about maternal mental health.
Many commenters have urged Tanimawo to seek self-care and prioritize her well-being, while others criticized her life’s choices.
One person commented, “That’s how I feel with 3, love my babies but it’s not easy. Hugs momma
.” Another person commented, “You weren’t tired after 1, 2,3 ? I’ll never understand this folks have kids and pretend like they don’t know what comes with it.”
Tanimawo’s candid moment is a reminder that parenting is relentless, and mothers often bear the weight of emotional and mental exhaustion in silence.
