This week, YG went crazy for Saweetie’s birthday as the rapper showered her with love online. But the “ICY GRL” hitmaker suggests she’s still single!
It seems this on-and-off relationship is beginning to take a toll on our girl.
Rumors began to circulate that YG, real name Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson, and Saweetie, Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, were dating in the spring of 2023 after spending time together at Coachella.
Fans began to piece the two together when they were allegedly spotted at the same restaurant after her stellar performance with Latto for the “B*tch From Da Souf” remix at Coachella Valley Art & Musical Festival.
Their relationship was officially confirmed in May when they were seen kissing on a romantic vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This sighting happened shortly after Saweetie attended YG’s birthday party in March.
Even though their tour was canceled, they appeared to be going strong in 2023. Until they formally announced the end of their relationship in 2024.
According to both, the split was mutual, and one of the issues they had was their busy schedules with their respective careers.
In April 2024, Saweetie and YG sent subliminal messages to fans that they were back together. So, it was no surprise that YG celebrated Sawwetie’s birthday.
The rapper flooded his IG stories with photos of them in various intimate poses.
Surprisingly, Saweeti has been mute on their relationship since their rumored reconciliation.
In a video that is going viral on social media, Saweetie refuses to answer whether she is taken or single during an interview. “Is Saweetie single?” the host asked.
To which the “Sway With Me” singer responded with a coy “Doesn’t anybody wanna know that? You gotta pay me for the answer.”
After much persistence from the hosts, Saweetie admits, “I’m married to the game, baby.” This seems to insinuate that she is still single and mingling.
For now, Saweeti’s refusal to publicly claim YG following his birthday celebration has sparked a heated debate among fans, leaving everyone guessing about the true nature of their relationship.
