“The last time me and my four siblings traveled for vacation with our mom was… never? It was such a blessing to make new memories and to watch them be loving, fun, patient parents, partners, uncles, aunties, and grandparents,” she shared with her followers.
Issa Rae, who recently married longtime boyfriend Louis Diame over the summer, revealed to GoodMorningAmerica that married life is treating her well.
“I’m extremely happy,” she told the outlet during a 201 interview. The creator and star of “Insecure,” who described herself as certainly being a “workaholic,” also discussed whether she is contemplating having children at this point, revealing that she isn’t prepared to include motherhood in her list of priorities just yet.
I like my life, I like this selfishness, and I know that I have a window,” she said. “Women, Black women especially, unless you’re Viola Davis or Angela Bassett, you have a window when people are going to want to continue to see you and see what you can do. Then there are so many limitations placed upon you, and that does keep me up.”
