Memphis rapper GloRilla isn’t staying quiet after her recent arrest on drug charges, especially since it all went down while her house was being robbed. The CMG artist took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out law enforcement, and let’s just say… she’s not happy.

The Memphis star, best known for bangers like Yeah Glo! and Whatchu Kno About Me, was arrested earlier this week after law enforcement searched her Georgia home in connection with a burglary that occurred while she was out of town.

But what was supposed to be an investigation into a home invasion somehow flipped into a drug bust, leaving fans and Glo herself asking: how did we get here?

While GloRilla (real name Gloria Hallelujah Woods) was in Indianapolis shutting it down at the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, her Georgia home was reportedly burglarized. According to police, three suspects broke into the house, but were scared off when an armed occupant opened fire. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the suspects fled.

During the investigation, deputies claimed they smelled “a strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics”. Eventually, they found what they described as a “significant amount of marijuana” in plain view inside the master bedroom closet.

On Tuesday (July 22), GloRilla turned herself in at the Forsyth County Jail, where she was booked on two felony charges, one for marijuana possession and another for a Schedule I controlled substance. She was released on bond the same day, reportedly dropping $22,260 to walk free.

But if you ask Glo, the whole thing is shady.

“CRAZY!! My house got home invaded Saturday,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA All-Star game & instead of focusing on finding the suspects, they focused on some cannabis.”

In a follow-up post, she cleared the air further:

“1. So, no, I wasn’t busted.

2. My house got robbed.

3. I wasn’t home.

Long story short, my house gets invaded, and I’m the only one who gets arrested. So that’s tea.”

Fans quickly rallied behind the Blessed rapper, questioning why a robbery victim was facing felony charges when she wasn’t even present at the scene. “How you rob somebody, and they end up in cuffs?!” one fan posted. Another added, “She’s performing at the WNBA All-Star Game and y’all worried about her closet?!”

But the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is defending its actions. In a statement, Sheriff Ron Freeman said:

“The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”

Do you think GloRilla was mistreated, or did the law do what it had to do? Drop your thoughts below.
