Thinking of packing your bags and heading to Atlanta in search of Black love, Black excellence and Black romance? One TikTok creator has a bold, hilarious message for you: “Bring your own man‼️”
TikTok user @earthangel17, better known as Earth Angel, has gone viral for her brutally funny PSA warning women not to expect romance in the ATL.
The now-trending video, titled “DO NOT COME TO ATLANTA LOOKING FOR LOVE,” is making waves online for its combination of truth, comedy, and commentary on Atlanta’s notoriously tricky dating scene.
“If you plan on moving to ATL, make sure you bring your own man with you,” Earth Angel begins, her tone somewhere between big sister advice and stand-up routine. “For any woman that likes men, bring your own man with you!”
Welcome to Black Hollywood… Where Everyone Thinks They’re Famous (And Possibly Taken)

In her comedic breakdown, Earth Angel says Atlanta may be “Black Hollywood,” but when it comes to dating, it’s a red carpet of disappointment.
“Most men are into themselves,” she quips. “Everybody thinks they’re a celebrity. 95% of the men are gay. And 50% of those are married!”
If you’re trying to do the math, don’t. Just know that according to Earth Angel, the remaining men “know it’s 30 women to every one man—and they use it to their advantage.”
And if you manage to spot a man in the wild? Good luck. According to her, the women who do have men are ready to go full NFL linebacker if you so much as say hello.
“The women are so territorial… even if you just say hi, they’re ready to charge at you!” she says.
A City Full of Single, Successful Black Women—and Still No Dates
While laced with humor, Earth Angel’s message touches on a truth many Black women in major cities know too well: success doesn’t always translate to love.
She paints a vivid picture of Atlanta as a city bursting with single, stunning, bossed-up Black women who, despite their glow and grind, are still waiting on someone to match their energy and intentions.
“Millionaires. Got money. Beautiful. Businesses. Single,” she says, listing off all the qualifications that should land you a good partner. “You know why? There are no men here in Atlanta for the women.”

To be clear, she’s not knocking anyone’s sexual orientation—“Ain’t nothing wrong with that!” she says cheerfully—but she is warning women not to get their hopes up.
“This is not the place for love. Atlanta is the place for money. The energy here is money.”
Social Media Responds: “Don’t Even Bring Your Man—Keep Him in Another State!”

The video, which has garnered thousands of views and shares, sparked an avalanche of hilarious—and painfully relatable—comments:
- “Don’t even bring your own man 💯 🤣🤣 keep him in another state or country 🤣🤣🤣”
- “Don’t bring your man to Atlanta. If the girls don’t get him, the boys will.”
- “I’m in Atlanta and not part of the 95%… I love my Black sisters 💯💪🏾.”
Others debated Earth Angel’s statistics, but even skeptics admitted: when it comes to dating in the city, she might just have a point.
Love? No. Money and Energy? Yes.
While Earth Angel makes it clear she’s not finding love in Atlanta, she’s not bitter—she’s just keeping it real. In her own words:
“If you want to come up, this is the place to come. If you’re looking for love, you need to go to the country somewhere. But not Black Hollywood.”
Thinking of moving to Atlanta? Bring a dream. Bring a plan. But according to Earth Angel… bring your own man.
