Philadelphia police and family members are pleading for help in finding 23-year-old Kada Scott, who has been missing since Oct. 4, after leaving her job at a local nursing home.
Authorities describe her disappearance as “deeply troubling.”
According to Fox 29, Scott was last seen heading to her overnight shift at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, a senior living facility where she worked. Detectives say she arrived that evening — but for reasons still unclear — left the building shortly after clocking in. Since then, no one has seen or heard from her.

Her car was later found in the facility’s parking lot, and police are combing the surrounding area for surveillance footage that might offer clues.
“You have a 23-year-old young lady who has completely disappeared,” said Philadelphia Police Capt. John Craig. “We have no cell phone activity. We have no social media activity. She has not reached out to family or friends. That’s what makes this so concerning.”
Craig confirmed there were no working surveillance cameras in the immediate area, a setback for investigators trying to retrace Scott’s last known steps.

This Has Never Happened Before
Scott’s parents say her disappearance is completely out of character. Her father, Kevin Scott, said the family is “trying to piece it together,” describing their daughter as responsible and close with her loved ones.
Her mother, Kim Matthews, said she’s certain Kada wouldn’t vanish voluntarily. “She would never just leave without calling someone,” she said.
Police also revealed that Scott had recently confided in friends and relatives about being harassed, though it’s not clear by whom. Investigators are now exploring whether that may have played a role in her disappearance.
“She’s somebody who’s in communication with family and friends,” Capt. Craig said. “She seems to be a bright, energetic woman who enjoys life, and this has never happened in her 23 years on Earth.”
No Leads, No Signal
With Kada’s phone turned off, detectives say they can only access historical data to build a timeline. They are also examining her social media accounts in hopes of identifying any patterns, messages, or contacts that might explain what happened before she vanished.
Craig urged the public to come forward with any detail, no matter how small.
“Think of it as a puzzle,” he said. “You might think your piece is insignificant, but without it, the picture won’t be complete. Whatever information you have, please reach out to the police.”

How to Help
Kada Scott is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Philadelphia Police Detectives at 215-686-3353.
As the search stretches into its sixth day, Scott’s family says they are holding onto faith. “We just want her home,” her father said quietly. “That’s all that matters.”
