Ciara sported a trendy look as she prepared to be honored with the Visionary Award at Jhpiego’s Laughter Is the Best Medicine Gala.
The 38-year-old Grammy winner showed off her personality in a gorgeous outfit on the red carpet at the health organization Jhpiego’s Laughter Is the Best Medicine Gala in Beverly Hills, California, on May 2.
Ciara is known not only for her vocal talent and dance moves (her videos have been viewed over 3 billion times) but also for her role in improving women’s health and well-being.
The singer is a part of the Cerving Confidence campaign, a partnership between Hologic’s Project Health Equality and the Black Women’s Health Imperative. The campaign’s specific goal is to persuade Black women to book a visit so they can get tested for HPV and Pap smears.
Building on the idea of “serving looks,” Cerving Confidence is an extension of Project Health Equality. This collaboration addresses the structural and cultural barriers that prevent Black women in the U.S. from receiving quality healthcare.
Cerving Confidence is about Black women finding power in taking care of themselves and their cervical health.
Ciara, who is being honored at Jhpiego’s Laughter Is the Best Medicine Gala for her work with organizations like her Why Not You Foundation, was a vision in white, dressed in a double-breasted suit jacket. Accompanied by wide-leg pants and pointed-toe heels selected by stylist Marni Senofonte.
Ciara, who welcomed fourth child, Amora Princess Wilson, on December 11, completed her look with a long trench coat, a sparkly silver necklace, and chic shades.
The singer of the ‘How We Roll Remix’ had makeup artist Yolonda Frederick completely contour her complexion, and for the charity event, she wore a waist-length raven wig.
While on the red carpet, she also posed for photos with Kelly Rowland, who wore a sexy black leather dress and recently debuted a new blonde hair color.
