Shanti Das, CEO and founder of Silence the Shame, a leading mental health advocacy organization, is collaborating with tech giant Microsoft to introduce a groundbreaking app aimed at promoting mental health awareness and support.

The partnership between Silence the Shame and Microsoft leverages technology to deliver tailored resources to individuals and communities grappling with mental health challenges.

Through the app, users can access educational content, engage in community discussions, and share personal stories.

“This is an exciting moment not only for our organization but, more importantly, for communities to have more access to mental health resources and healthy ways to cope,” said Shanti Das, expressing her enthusiasm about the app’s launch.

Shanti Das, a native of Atlanta and former music executive, has been dedicated to improving community health for years.

As a National Power Ambassador for the American Heart Association, she has championed initiatives to ensure multicultural communities prioritize heart health.

Darrell Booker, a corporate affairs specialist at Microsoft, emphasized the importance of technology in addressing mental health challenges.

He highlighted the app’s discreet and accessible platform, powered by Microsoft’s .NET MAUI mobile app technology, as a potential lifeline for those in need of support.

The app is set to debut on May 5, coinciding with National Silence the Shame Day during Mental Health Awareness Month. In addition to the app launch, Silence the Shame will host a series of insightful Instagram Live sessions throughout May, featuring mental health professionals and influencers.
