Jennifer Hudson and Common seemingly confirmed their relationship in Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
The longtime friends have played it safe since they were spotted together in New York last year.
The pair held hands as they strolled into Joe’s Pub theater in New York City for jazz singer Mikel Mwalimu-Banksat’s honorary concert.
Hudson and Common were first romantically linked in 2022 after they both starred in the upcoming action-thriller ‘Breath’.

After presenting the 42-year-old host with a huge bouquet, Common delicately gave her a hug and a kiss on her cheek.
In the clip, Jennifer Hudson asked Common the question everybody wants to know: “Are you dating anyone?”
The Suicide Squad star laughed before answering that he was dating someone.

“Yes, I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. She’s smart and loves God. She has something really down-to-earth about her, and she’s talented,”
While he didn’t say Hudson’s name, his little speech ticked highlights of her career.
“I set my standards kinda high because she got to have the EGOT. She had to win an Oscar for her first movie. I set my standard high. She had to get her talk show too,” he added.
Common then turned the question to Jennifer Hudson, who confirmed her relationship status.
“I’m dating this brother. And I am very happy,” she said.
In 2021, Common broke up with Tiffany Haddish, who revealed in an interview with The Washington Post that their breakup “wasn’t mutual” as he said.
Before his relationship with Haddish, Common dated singer Erykah Badu from 2000 to 2002 before moving on to actress Taraji P. Henson in 2005.
Common also spent time with tennis legend and entrepreneur Serena Williams ( 007 to 2010). Regina Hall also dated Common from 2015 to 2016 before he moved to political analyst Angela Rye from 2017 to 2018.
