Jordyn Woods is opening up about a deeply personal loss. The 27-year-old model and influencer revealed on social media that her beloved aunt, Sarah, has died following a battle with breast cancer—a heartbreaking update that comes years after she lost her father to the same disease.

Woods first hinted at the tragedy on Thursday (March 7) with a raw, emotional tweet: “F**k cancer.” The post immediately sent fans into a wave of speculation.

Many wondered if the message referenced her boyfriend, NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns, who recently missed a New York Knicks game due to undisclosed “personal reasons.” Others feared it might relate to her father, John Woods, who died of cancer in 2017 when Jordyn was just 19.

Jordyn lost her father to cancer when she was nineteen. Her dad was
employed on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and her family maintains a close relationship with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, whom she regards as her uncle and aunt.

However, Woods later provided clarity, revealing that her Aunt Sarah had succumbed to the disease. In an emotional tribute, she shared a heartfelt Instagram post with childhood photos, writing, “My guardian angels. Aunt Sarah wouldn’t want us to feel sorry; she’d want us to celebrate her life.”

The grief-stricken influencer later followed up with another message, expressing her sorrow: “Thank you for all of your prayers and concern. I had to bury one of the closest people to me yesterday after she lost her battle with breast cancer. Life isn’t always fair. She will be missed tremendously.”

New York Knicks supporters expressed worry for Jordyn Woods and her partner Karl-Anthony Towns when the 7-footer suddenly missed the match against the Golden State Warriors in a 114-102 defeat at Madison Square Garden due to personal matters.

Towns was absent for his sixth game of the season during Tuesday’s loss at Madison Square Garden, with coach Tom Thibodeau stating that the big man “required some time,” and the social media personality shared a mysterious two-word tweet.

According to Sports Illustrated, Towns is set to compete against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
