The ongoing (and seemingly never-ending) divorce and child custody battle between Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Kenya Moore and her estranged husband Marc Daly is in the news again – this time after Daly has requested that the legal proceedings be sealed and not be made known to the public.

In new court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Daly’s legal team states that Moore “appears on a television show that airs nationally and internationally. The parties’ relationship status has received a lot of media attention due to [Kenya’s] detailing their private issues on the reality television show she is filming.”

His filing further details that Moore ignored requests to sign the notion requesting the trial be sealed, adding that the 52-year-old wants to drag out the proceedings and reflects “her continued attempt to expand these proceedings.”

The news comes two months after Daly was dropped by his legal team just weeks before he was scheduled to appear in court to finalize his divorce from Moore, according to a RadarOnline report.

According to court documents obtained by the publication, Daly’s lawyer Regina Edwards requested that she be withdrawn from the case, adding that her client has ten days to object to her motion. The documents further state that should she be withdrawn; Daly will be responsible for obtaining a new attorney.

The news comes almost two years since Moore split from Daly. According to the model and actress, she cannot wait much longer for it to be officially over.

On the latest episode of Watch What Happens Live, the former Miss USA star said it has been “the world’s longest divorce.”

“He’s not asking for anything at this point. It’s just at a standstill so until we get a trial date or settle, it’s still going to go on,” the 51-year-old said. “I feel like it’s been going on for years, too,” Moore said at the time. “I want it to be over. The hold-up is on the other side. Get me free! Get me free!”

On dating, she revealed: “I’m definitely doing some group dating and have people pursuing me, but nothing serious yet,” she shared.

This isn’t the first time the Detroit-born actress has opened up about her relationship with Daly. During October’s Bravo Con 2022 in New York, she opened up about the calamity she faced co-parenting their three-year-old daughter.

“There is no co-parenting really, unfortunately,” she said during a RHOA panel. “I’m just being positive and prayerful. My divorce will be final at any moment I hope.”

Moore filed for divorce in Georgia in May 2021 and the couple has lived separately ever since. Reports indicate that at the time of the filing, she said that the union was “irretrievably broken.”  She also requested sole physical and legal custody of their daughter, named Brooklyn.

In response, Daly requested joint legal custody of the child and “separate real and personal property.” The banking executive and entrepreneur has also requested that his ex-wife pays for all legal fees once the divorce is finalized.

The couple married in 2017 and have endured bumps throughout their short-lived marriage. Last year, Daly released a statement announcing that while they tried to reconcile their marriage, they decided to part ways.

“After recently attending mediation, Kenya and I have agreed to end our marriage,” he told The Root. “I will always have great care for her and look forward to amicably.

continuing to co-parent our daughter Brooklyn with an abundance of love and wisdom.”

Rumors of the pair’s imminent divorce began to surface in 2020 after fans learned that Moore sent her RHOA co-star LaToya nude pics.

“It’s just nice to have someone like LaToya around to make me feel sexy and vibrant and desirable,” Moore said during a confessional.

Later in the episode, Latoya pulled out her phone during dinner at Cynthia’s engagement party and revealed Moore’s naked pic stating “Kenya’s as* on my phone.”
