Keke Palmer announced that her girl group, Diva Gurl, is getting ready to release new music. On Tuesday, the 30-year-old gave fans a sneak peek at her newest musical endeavor: the group will release its debut single later this month.
According to the bio on Diva Gurl’s Instagram page, Keke Palmer will go by her middle name, Keyana, for everything related to her most recent singing endeavor. The bio identifies the other members as LaShaè, Sadè, and Monèt.
From her humble beginnings singing in the church choir at age five, Keke Palmer’s journey to stardom is nothing short of inspiring. After making a name for herself in Los Angeles, she became a household name with her own Nickelodeon series, True Jackson, VP, from 2008 to 2011. Three years after the show’s end, Palmer made history as the first Black actress to play Cinderella on Broadway and later hosted her own talk show on BET.

Keke’s group was announced after the Nope star and her Big Bosses Entertainment label signed a contract with the SRG-ILS Group, distributed by Virgin Music Group, a division of Universal Music. Her first release under the new collaboration is reportedly scheduled for early summer, coinciding with the release of Diva Gurl’s single “S.O.B.”
