Megan Thee Stallion is suing Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, a blogger and content creator, for allegedly spreading lies about her online.
Megan Thee Stallion accused Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, of operating a “online rumor mill churning out falsehoods about Ms. Pete to her tens of thousands of social media followers.”
The 29-year-old rapper filed the suit in Florida on Wednesday, October 30. According to the court document, Megan claims Cooper, also known as MilagroGramz online, “continues to act on behalf” of Tory Lanez by “churning out falsehoods” about Megan to “her tens of thousands of social media followers.”
The majority of Megan’s allegations about Cooper’s behavior concern Tory Lanez, who was found guilty in December 2022 of shooting Megan in both feet in July 2020.
Lanez was sentenced to ten years in prison and is now incarcerated at the California Correctional Institution. He filed an appeal of the verdict in February.
“Defendant Cooper performed Mr. Peterson’s public bidding to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms for no other reason than to bully, harass, and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress,” Wednesday’s lawsuit states.
The legal documents contain several examples of Cooper’s alleged behavior, including one from Sunday, October 27, when she allegedly “falsely claimed that the firearm [Lanez] used to shoot [Megan] was not produced during the trial because it was missing.”
The lawsuit also includes screenshots of several tweets that Cooper allegedly sent during Lanez’s 2022 trial, including one that read, “All this case taught anyone was that your father, brother, cousin, or son could face over 20 years in prison without proper evidence, a botched investigation, and another likely suspect just because non-credible witnesses said you did something.”
Megan also accuses the YouTuber of using social media to promote a deepfake pornographic video, which is seemingly realistic footage created using technology. The manipulated video purportedly depicted the Houston rapper performing sexual acts.
The “BOA” emcee’s legal team requests a jury trial and seeks “monetary damages,” as well as Megan’s “attorneys’ fees and costs” and “a permanent injunction barring Defendant Cooper from any future use or publication of intimate visual depictions of her.”
In response to the lawsuit, the blogger wrote on X: “Countersuit has gone crazy (sic).”
