According to Forbes, Rihanna’s net worth has experienced a notable decline, decreasing by 29% since 2024. The singer and business mogul, who once achieved billionaire status with an estimated wealth of $1.4 billion, now has an estimated net worth of $1 billion.

This drop in valuation is one of the most significant changes on Forbes’ 2025 list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, where she is currently ranked at No. 35.

The CEO of Savage X Fenty left the company in August 2024 to take over at competitor Victoria’s Secret. Sales for both the lingerie brand and Fenty Beauty, Rihanna’s cosmetics line that is co-owned with LVMH, have reportedly stagnated. Additionally, Fenty’s much-anticipated debut in China encountered what LVMH characterized as a “difficult environment,” hindering growth in the significant global market.

The Barbadian superstar’s downturn is occurring alongside a wider adjustment in ventures led by celebrities. Forbes observes that the previously thriving celebrity business surge, which was based on personal brands, beauty businesses, and profitable content agreements, is dwindling. “The market condition right now is exerting a sort of downward pressure on valuation,” Forbes noted, highlighting a decrease in investor interest in products driven by influencers.

Rihanna continues to push forward. In April 2025, Savage X Fenty, her lingerie line, introduced a new Bridal Collection and reintroduced its highly sought-after Body Lava luminizers. Additionally, the brand ventured into mascara and developed a virtual experience on Roblox to connect with younger audiences and enhance engagement.

However, not every endeavor Rihanna engages in is successful. In February, LVMH and Rihanna announced to Forbes that they had closed their other project, a luxury fashion and accessories label named Fenty. Established in 2019, Fenty aimed to embody Rihanna’s ethos of inclusivity by offering styles in a range of sizes. However, similar to many luxury fashion brands, the expensive line struggled during the pandemic, unveiling its final collection in November 2020.

Despite these challenges, Rihanna remains a billionaire and an iconic presence in global pop culture.
