Royce Reed Opens Up About Dwight Howard’s Sexual Encounters With Men

Royce Reed has made explosive allegations about Dwight Howard’s sexuality during an appearance on Cam Newton’s “Funky Fridays.”

The long-running feud between NBA star Dwight Howard and his ex-girlfriend, Royce Reed, has taken another dramatic turn.

In a recent episode of Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday” podcast, the former star of “Basketball Wives” joined Newton to talk about topics, including their experiences with co-parenting alongside Howard and the rumors regarding his sexuality.

Royce Reed has disclosed that the ex-Los Angeles Lakers center may be bicurious as he explores his sexual orientation and identity in light of accusations that the former NBA player sexually assaulted a man.

Last August, a Georgia man, who had previously brought sexual assault charges against Dwight Howard, dropped his lawsuit after attorneys for the ex-basketball star alleged the man deleted text messages showing their encounter was consensual.

The legal action originated from an incident at Howard’s home in Georgia in July 2021, during which Harper claimed that Howard sexually assaulted him. In Harper’s complaint from July 2023, he also charged Howard with “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and false imprisonment.

Dwight Howard refuted those claims and stated in an October submission that he and Harper participated in “consensual sexual activity.”

In a recent conversation, Royce Reed claimed she had witnessed Dwight engaging in intimate encounters with men on multiple occasions during their relationship. According to her, these moments were often preceded by the NBA star allegedly using psychedelic mushrooms.

“All the time. They took mushrooms together,” she shared, adding that Dwight Howard’s children would be upstairs during these encounters.

At one point in the conversation, Reed opened up about Howard requesting to do sexual things with her that she didn’t feel comfortable with but decided to participate due to being naive. This included him requesting finger play.

Royce Reed also revealed that Howard had asked her to do sexual things with him that she did not feel comfortable with, including finger play, but decided to do since she was naive.

“I was green. They talk about our age gap, which he was 18 and I was 24. But if people have ever listened to me, I say all the time, I wasn’t allowed to date until I graduated high school. I went to prom and homecoming by myself.”

This isn’t the first time Royce Reed and Dwight Howard have clashed publicly. The former couple, who share a son, Braylon, have been locked in a contentious relationship for years, often trading accusations through the media.
