In a surprise appearance, Douglas Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has been featured in the final episode of Ghana’s popular edutainment series, YOLO Season 7.
The Second Gentleman filmed his cameo during his visit to Ghana, West Africa, in March 2023 alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.
Mr. Emhoff took part in the seventh season of the YOLO series by presenting a trophy to the winning team during an interschool basketball competition.
The episode marks his involvement in the series and showcases the importance of international figures engaging with initiatives in Ghana.
YOLO, which stands for “You Only Live Once,” is Ghana’s leading edutainment series that addresses the challenges youth face during adolescence.
Premiering in 2016, YOLO has gained a massive following, with Season 7 alone amassing 9.3 million cumulative views on YouTube.
In its seventh season, YOLO has been actively promoting key messages related to Sexual and Reproductive Health, Nutrition, Antenatal Care, Exercise, Gender Equality, and Disability Inclusion, among other crucial topics.
The YOLO series is a collaborative effort between the Ghana Health Service and the National Population Council.
It is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Accelerating Social Behavior Change (ASBC) Activity and is produced by Farmhouse Productions Limited.
The highly anticipated season finale of YOLO Season Seven started free streaming on the Farmhouse Movie App on Jan. 23, 2024, at 3 pm. It is also available on YouTube.
