Wendy Williams Plotting MAJOR Comeback? Insider Spills Tea On TV Return & ‘Horrific’ Guardianship System Exposé

Wendy Williams is reportedly not looking to make a grand return to television. Instead, the former daytime star is contemplating using her distinctive voice in a much different setting that addresses what she sees as a flawed and abusive guardianship system.

According to Page Six, the 61-year-old television icon has little desire to reclaim her spot at a talk show desk. Instead, she is considering embarking on a speaking tour where she intends to share her experiences and bring attention to the challenges faced by those under court-ordered guardianships.

Since 2022, Williams has been residing in a luxury assisted living facility in New York, following the appointment of court-appointed guardian Sabrina Morrissey to oversee her care. Although her days of sharing celebrity gossip on The Wendy Williams Show are behind her, sources reveal she is now dedicated to educating families about the “red flags” associated with guardianships and the difficulties of breaking free from them.

“It’s just an idea, but she thinks it’s important,” a source told Page Six. “She wants to possibly hold panels and discuss how to protect families from guardianships. If there’s one thing Wendy knows how to do, it’s talk. She wants to bring this issue to the forefront.”

Her attorney, Joe Tacopina, who has represented high-profile clients including A$AP Rocky and Donald Trump, noted that Wendy has been very clear about her objectives. In a recent conversation with Extra, Tacopina mentioned that his client described the guardianship system as “unjust” and “despicable.”

“She told me more than once, ‘Joe, I wish I weren’t in this situation… but if someone is going to be in this situation, better me with a platform, so I can expose the system,'” Tacopina shared. He emphasized that Wendy aims to advocate not only for herself but also for ordinary individuals who cannot afford legal representation or media coverage when they find themselves trapped in what she refers to as “the vortex of a horrific guardian situation.”

However, Wendy’s battle is far from over. Recent reports have emerged indicating that she has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. Williams has refuted these claims, and Tacopina asserts that the purported medical report was leaked by her guardian, stating that even Wendy herself has not seen it. “Clearly (the guardian was involved),” Tacopina alleged.

The attorney indicated that Wendy will be undergoing an independent medical examination by a neutral physician soon, a process that could clarify her chances of regaining her independence.

For the time being, friends describe Wendy as resilient and determined. They portray her as sharp, focused, and eager to leverage her voice for a cause that extends beyond daytime television.

Having risen from her beginnings as a radio DJ to become one of the most influential talk show hosts of her time, Wendy is no stranger to controversy or transformation. While her fans may miss her iconic catchphrase “How you doin’?” on TV, it appears she is gearing up for a new kind of platform, one centered not on celebrity gossip, but on the very real lives affected by a system she identifies as abusive.
