Wendy Williams has aced a psychological evaluation with a flawless 10/10 score, according to an exclusive source close to the former talk show queen.

The result, confirmed by media personality Loren Lorosa, strikes a direct blow against the court-appointed guardianship that has controlled Williams’ finances and medical decisions since 2022—and reignites hope that the embattled TV icon could soon reclaim her independence.

A psychiatrist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York has allegedly concluded that her “mental capacity is fully intact,” which may influence her continuing struggle to terminate her court-mandated guardianship. The assessment occurred after the 60-year-old media personality was taken from her assisted living facility by ambulance on Monday after cops were called to her assisted living facility for a wellness check when the former daytime talk show host tossed a handwritten note pleading for help out a window.

Reports from sources indicate that she achieved a perfect “10 out of 10” score on a capacity assessment, demonstrating that she was alert and oriented. The findings will be forwarded to a judge managing her case to terminate her court-appointed guardianship.

This new result highlights a distinct difference from the evaluation provided by her legal guardian, who asserts that her condition has deteriorated.

However, the exam did not assess whether she was misdiagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a condition she has repeatedly denied having.

Based on TMZ’s narrative, Wendy Williams may have taken the Abbreviated Mental Test Score exam. According to Medical News Today, the exam, which is intended to detect the risk of dementia in senior people, consists of ten questions, including the subject’s date of birth, address, and the current president. Each correct answer yields one point. A score of 6 or lower implies that the patient may be suffering from dementia or delirium.

The former Wendy Williams Show hostess has been fighting to regain control over her life. She recently signed an affidavit requesting that her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, be removed. She also fired her court-appointed attorney, Linda Redlisky, as part of her ongoing legal battle.

Wendy Williams’ family and fans have been advocating for her to have more autonomy, and this new development may support those calls.
