Trina’s performance at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards came just a week after she released her new memoir Da Baddest. The veteran rapper collaborated with author Sesali Bowen to share her coming-of-age story about growing up in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood with her mother and stepfather.
Trina’s memoir, which includes an introduction by Missy Elliott, details Trina’s upbringing in Miami’s Liberty City and her rise to rap stardom. According to Simon & Schuster, the book gives readers an “evocative look into Trina’s upbringing and life as a rap icon,” demonstrating how she became a trailblazer for female rappers, demonstrating why she is the blueprint, and why no one but her can hold the title of “The Baddest B***h.”
