The long-standing feud between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim continues to spark online debates as fans accuse Nicki of mimicking the rap icon’s fashion.

The latest controversy began after Nicki appeared in a dress wearing an abstract dress that bears striking similarities to one Lil Kim wore to the 6th Annual Pow(h)er Awards alongside her daughter, Royal Reign.

Lil Kim, who released her debut studio album in 1996 and dominated the rap industry for over a decade before Nicki’s 2007 debut, has often been at the center of accusations that Nicki draws heavily from her trailblazing aesthetic. This time, fans believe Nicki’s choice of attire further fuels claims of copying Lil Kim’s signature style.

The feud traces back to rumors that Nicki gained prominence by adopting elements of Lil Kim’s artistry, according to Lil Kim’s fans.

The beef escalated when Lil’ Kim accused Nicki of not paying homage to her influences. Around this time, Nicki released tracks like “Roman’s Revenge,” which was interpreted as taking shots at Kim. Lil’ Kim retaliated with her own diss track, “Black Friday,” a play on Nicki’s debut album, “Pink Friday.”

In 2012, Nicki Minaj responded with her song “Stupid H*e,” where she directly attacked Kim with harsh lyrics. But Lil Kim refused to respond, dismissing the song publicly and calling it unworthy of attention.

While there were occasional jabs over the years, the intensity of the feud resurfaced in 2017 when Lil’ Kim collaborated with Remy Ma shortly after Remy had released “Shether,” a diss track targeting Nicki.

The latest incident has sparked a fresh wave of conversation as social media users eagerly dissect the striking similarities between their outfits.

In a recent video uploaded on her Instagram page, the “Pink Friday” hitmaker wore a form-fitting, striped dress with bold, contrasting colors. The material featured horizontal and vertical lines in a mix of pink, brown, black, and white hues, a striking geometric pattern similar to the one Lil Kim wore a week ago on the red carpet at the 6th Annual Pow(h)er Awards.

While some fans have defended Minaj, arguing that fashion designers make multiple clothes, others have criticized her for allegedly copying Kim’s signature style.

Would Nicki Minaj respond to the accusations?
