Remy Ma was cuffed following a heated face-off with Jazmin Dior, the daughter of the man her son, Jayson Scott, is accused of murdering. The tense exchange outside a Queens courthouse has left fans divided, with Jazmin now speaking out about the “traumatizing” incident.
Remy Ma, legendary rapper and Bronx native, found herself in handcuffs this week after a heated verbal altercation with Jazmin Dior. The confrontation went down right outside the courthouse, where tensions clearly boiled over following a hearing in her son Jayson Scott’s ongoing murder case.
Remy showed up to court to support her 23-year-old son, who in June 2024 was arraigned on multiple charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux in Queens, New York.
But what started as a somber courtroom appearance turned into a viral showdown outside, caught on camera.
Footage circulating online shows Remy and Jazmin engaging in a tense exchange. However, the beginning of the confrontation wasn’t captured on film. From what we can see, voices were raised and energy was high. It’s still unclear who said what first, but it didn’t end calmly.
Jazmin Dior later broke her silence in an emotional statement.
“One of the defendants’ mothers approached me with hostility, attitude, and attempted to escalate things physically, as if I was the one who had done something wrong,” she said.
She didn’t mince words. Jazmin says she came to court seeking justice for her father, not drama.
“Remy Ma’s son is being charged with murdering my father in a cold-blooded, premeditated act. I came to court for justice and healing, not confrontation or disrespect,” she continued. “Her behavior only added more trauma to an already unbearable experience.”
According to Jazmin, what hurt the most was the lack of empathy.
“Instead of showing any remorse or respect, she lashed out at me. I’m grieving a loss that can’t be replaced, and I won’t allow anyone to act like my pain isn’t valid.”
As of now, Remy Ma has not issued a public statement, and her legal team has remained silent. Sources close to the situation report that Remy was detained following the altercation, although the exact charges have not been disclosed.
