Meet Kiyah Elana: The 27-Year-Old Real Estate Agent Helping Women and Moms Become Homeowners

by Gee NY

At just 27 years old, Kiyah Elana, a Black entrepreneur, licensed real estate agent, and mortgage loan officer, is making waves in the housing industry with a clear mission: to help women, especially single moms and first-time buyers, turn the dream of homeownership into a reality.

Elana, who is also a mother herself, recently launched Help For Women, an innovative program designed to empower women with tools, resources, and support to navigate the home buying process with confidence. With a combination of financial literacy education, down payment assistance access, and personalized mentorship, the San Diego native is tackling long-standing barriers that have kept many working women and mothers out of the housing market.

“When a mom becomes a homeowner, it changes everything,” Elana shared. “It gives her children stability, pride, and a sense of legacy.”

Homeownership Help Built from Experience

Kiyah’s drive comes from personal experience. As a young mom juggling work and motherhood, she found the home buying process to be complex and intimidating. She noticed a serious lack of guidance for women like herself—women balancing family, work, and financial uncertainty.

Instead of being discouraged, she used her struggles as motivation to create something meaningful. The result: a program that offers what she never had—clear guidance, trustworthy advice, and real opportunities for homeownership.

What Help For Women Offers

Help For Women includes a variety of resources:

  • Webinars and local seminars that explain every step of the home-buying journey
  • Credit-building workshops and tips for budgeting
  • One-on-one consultations tailored to each woman’s financial situation
  • Access to down payment assistance and special loan programs

The program is particularly committed to financial education, helping clients understand credit, mortgages, and money management as key tools to build long-term wealth.

“Financial literacy is key to closing the housing gap for women,” Elana says, especially women of color, who have historically faced systemic barriers in building generational wealth.

Expanding Her Reach

Elana isn’t stopping at individual clients. She’s partnering with local nonprofits and community centers to host free, family-friendly homeownership events across San Diego County. She’s also taking her mission nationwide by launching webinars accessible to women from coast to coast.

These events focus on creating a supportive and welcoming space for women to ask questions, gain confidence, and hear from others who have successfully purchased their first home through Help For Women.

Creating Generational Change

More than just selling homes, Elana views her work as part of a larger social mission: to create generational change through property ownership.

By guiding women into homeownership, she believes she’s helping reshape futures—not just for the buyers, but for their children and families as well. In a housing market that too often leaves women behind, Kiyah Elana is stepping up to open doors, literally and figuratively.

Her work with Help For Women is a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose—and it’s a powerful reminder that with the right support, homeownership isn’t just a dream. It’s a plan.
