Amber Rose has made it clear that she stands firmly with Nicki Minaj amidst the uproar following Nicki’s appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest alongside Erika Kirk.

On December 22, Amber stirred the pot on social media by resharing a photo of Nicki making a salute gesture in front of an American flag, adding her own caption, “The queen has spoken.”

In a subsequent post, Amber highlighted a controversial statement originally made by Angela Stanton King on X. The message read: “If Nicki Minaj was at an HBCU twerking for abortion, the Black community would be praising her.”

Nicki’s appearance at AmericaFest in Phoenix on December 21 had already caught the public’s eye. As a surprise guest, she joined Erika Kirk onstage while her famous track “Super Bass” played. During a Q&A session, Nicki discussed a range of topics, including her support for persecuted Christians in Nigeria, her critique of California Governor Gavin Newsom, and her unexpected admiration for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. This shift in tone was notable, especially given her earlier criticisms of Trump’s immigration policies when he was in office.

“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Nicki expressed during the event. “He’s given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win, and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact.”

This praise, especially given the event context, sparked a wave of polarized reactions online. Some critics accused Nicki of siding with conservative politics that clash with the values many in the Black community prioritize. Blogger Perez Hilton even labeled her a “horrible human being,” which added fuel to the growing backlash.

Conversely, many defended Nicki, arguing that the outrage was selective and hypocritical. This sentiment resonated with Amber Rose’s repost. Supporters claimed that Nicki was being judged more harshly for stepping outside conventional political or cultural boundaries, especially compared to other celebrities who are often applauded for aligning with more mainstream or progressive views.
