Cheron Sanders: 47-Year-Old Woman’s Life Cut Short in Tragic Murder-Suicide

by Gee NY

Metro Nashville Police Department has confirmed the identities of the two individuals involved in a tragic murder-suicide on Friday, Jan. 5, 2025.

Authorities believe 53-year-old Eric Lebron Hale fatally shot his girlfriend, 47-year-old Cheron Sanders, before turning the gun on himself in an incident that has left the Nashville community mourning.

The bodies of Sanders and Hale were discovered in a bedroom at a home on Baby Ruth Lane by Sanders’ son. Police recovered a pistol at the scene and believe the deaths occurred earlier that day.

A Life Lost to Violence

Cheron Sanders, a 47-year-old woman described by neighbors as warm and caring, tragically became another victim of domestic violence.

In March 2024, Sanders called police to report that Hale had assaulted her, pulling her hair and threatening her with a knife. Despite his arrest and subsequent felony aggravated assault charge, the case was dismissed in July 2024.

Domestic violence continues to claim lives, leaving families and communities grappling with grief and unanswered questions. Advocates stress the importance of recognizing warning signs and providing support for victims.
