Actress Meagan Good appeared on “The Breakfast Club” and addressed her fiancé, Jonathan Majors’, recent assault trial.
Meagan Good shared her journey towards achieving peace, love, and faith during one of the toughest periods in her life. The Divorce In The Black actress visited The Breakfast Club on Friday, January 17, to talk about her recent engagement to actor Jonathan Majors, her separation from DeVon Franklin, and her unwavering faith in God’s purpose.
Co-host Jess Hilarious wasted no time delving into Meagan Good’s stance on standing beside your partner through thick and thin. Jess praised Good for her strength during Majors’ highly publicized assault trial.
Jonathan Majors was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, and faced intense public scrutiny before being sentenced to probation and domestic violence counseling in 2024.
When asked if she ever doubted her relationship with Majors during the trial, Good’s response was firm: “No.” She added that her prayers gave her clarity and reassurance that she was exactly where she needed to be.
“Literally, I was talking to God, and I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be,” she explained.
“I’ve learned along the way that not only will things not always make sense to me, but sometimes they won’t make sense to other people, and that’s okay,” Good continued. “As long as you are in alignment with God and trusting the path that you’re on, that’s it.”
Meagan Good also revealed she is currently in one of the happiest periods of her life, reflecting on the joy she feels in her relationship with Majors. She noted she couldn’t even remember the last time she was this happy, saying it was probably when she was a kid.
Co-host Jess also delved into Good’s perspective on marriage post-divorce.
“Despite her split from Franklin, Good revealed she still believes in love and commitment. “I’m a very optimistic person, and I do trust God,” she shared confidently.
Meagan Good continued, “I was never like, ‘I’m not gonna get married again,’ I was just like, ‘What is happening? Now, sitting here today, I’m thankful for every part of the experience.”
The pair’s engagement, which became public during their red-carpet appearance at the 2024 Ebony Power 100 event at Nya Studios, has sparked a mix of support and skepticism from fans. Despite the chaos surrounding Majors’ legal drama, Meagan Good believes this is a divinely orchestrated love story.
