Lucie S. Matsouaka, an internationally recognized youth leadership trainer, human rights consultant, and author, is on a mission to inspire young African leaders with her latest book, The Phenomenal Leader In Me: Africa Edition.
Designed for children ages 5 to 13, the book blends leadership principles with the rich history of African leaders, aiming to instill confidence, cultural pride, and a sense of purpose in the next generation.
“I meet young people across the U.S., Europe, and Africa who are eager to learn about Africa, yet schools often fail to provide meaningful insights into the continent’s history and contributions,” Matsouaka said. “This book bridges that gap, featuring a detailed African map and stories of influential leaders to educate and empower children of African descent.”
Matsouaka, founder of TELEMAH—a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring young people—has dedicated her career to youth empowerment.
Fluent in English and French, she travels the world promoting servant leadership, human rights, and cultural awareness.
Her efforts have earned her prestigious honors, including Belgium’s Prix d’Honneur at the Golden Artistic Awards and recognition from the Maryland General Assembly.
The Phenomenal Leader In Me: Africa Edition will be available in English, French, and Swahili, ensuring accessibility to a diverse audience of young learners, parents, and educators. The book can be purchased on Amazon.
