After over ten years together, Kandi Burruss has confirmed that she and her husband, Todd Tucker, a producer, are going their separate ways. The announcement, made on a Friday afternoon, put an end to weeks of speculation and chatter among fans who had sensed a shift in their relationship.
In an emotional statement to People, Kandi Burruss expressed that the decision was not made lightly. “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,” she said, describing the process as both challenging and emotional. She emphasized that her main priority now is to protect her peace, stating, “My focus remains on being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.” Kandi remarked that she looks forward to dedicating time to her career, her family, and her own personal growth in the future.
Speculation about their separation began earlier in the week when Kandi discreetly altered her Instagram handle, dropping her last name, Tucker. This seemingly small change stirred up a significant buzz online. Additionally, Todd’s absence at Kandi’s recent appearance at BravoCon 2025, where she received the prestigious “Wifetime Achievement Award,” fueled further intrigue.
Despite the circumstances, Kandi maintained her composure during her acceptance speech, expressing gratitude to her family and support system. She even mentioned Todd, saying, “To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions. You earned this award, too.”
Todd also took to social media to show his support, writing, “Much deserved, you did it with class and dignity. You’re an inspiration to many. You’re the GOAT!” However, fans were quick to notice that Kandi was not wearing her wedding ring during the entire three-day convention in Las Vegas.
Kandi and Todd tied the knot in April 2014 in a lavish wedding themed after “Coming to America,” a ceremony that remains memorable in RHOA history. They welcomed their son Ace in 2016 and later celebrated the birth of their daughter Blaze through a surrogate in 2019.
Their last public appearance as a couple was at Tiny Harris’ 50th birthday celebration on July 14, where they appeared joyful and connected, at least publicly.
