Wait, What? Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Got Married In Secret Home Wedding!

by Grace Somes

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are officially married, and the Creed III star spilled the tea weeks before their official announcement.

According to exclusive reports from Entertainment Tonight and People, the couple exchanged vows in a super-private ceremony at their Los Angeles home on Tuesday, surrounded only by their mothers. Majors’ mom, a pastor, officiated the heartfelt nuptials, while Good’s mother, Tyra Wardlow-Doyle, served as the sole witness. No flashy guest list, no paparazzi, just pure, unfiltered romance four months after their engagement.

But here’s the twist: Majors let the cat out of the bag during a press junket for his upcoming film Magazine Dreams earlier this month. When gushing about Meagan Good, he slipped up, calling her “my wife” before quickly correcting himself to “fiancée!” Fans reeling from the clip now realize it was a Freudian slip of the sweetest kind.

“Just my girl, man! She’s my best friend, my wife… my fiancée!” Majors told ET with a laugh, adding, “She just motivates me so much. She guides me, and I guide her. I think Meagan and I do a good job of dealing with each other where we’re at.”

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors announced their engagement to PEOPLE during the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November 2024, where the Think Like a Man actress displayed her diamond engagement ring while appearing on the red carpet.

The couple shared with E! News that they decided to announce their news at the gala since that’s where they initially met two years ago “in the unisex bathroom.” Good had previously mentioned to PEOPLE in July 2024 that she and Majors experienced “instant chemistry” upon meeting.

The duo was initially connected in May 2023 when they were seen watching a film together at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles. Approximately during the same period, the Creed III star faced trial for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges from his ex-girlfriend. Although he has always maintained his innocence, a jury found him guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment.

As for what’s next? No word yet on a honeymoon, though we’re betting it’ll be as private as their wedding.
