A’ja Wilson, star forward for the Las Vegas Aces, is set to break new ground as the first WNBA player to grace the cover of NBA 2K, a milestone in video gaming history that underscores the rising prominence of women’s basketball.
Scheduled for release on Sept. 6, NBA 2K25 will feature Wilson on its global edition cover, marking a significant moment for both the WNBA and gaming communities alike.

Opening night drew the highest attendance in 26 years, with games airing on major networks like ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and CBS, attracting approximately 1.32 million viewers on average, triple the previous season’s numbers.

Alongside Wilson, NBA star Jayson Tatum graces the cover of the All-Star edition of NBA 2K25 following the Boston Celtics’ 2024 NBA Finals victory.
In addition to the global edition cover, A’ja Wilson will feature prominently on the GameStop-exclusive physical edition of NBA 2K25 WNBA version, available exclusively in the U.S. and Canada.
