GloRilla is manifesting more than just success on her new album, Glorious. She has manifested a powerful collaboration with gospel icon Kirk Franklin.
GloRilla’s dream came true after she met him at the 2023 Grammys and expressed her desire to collaborate on a track for the new album.
The Big Glo season has arrived. GloRilla hopes to cap off a successful year with the release of her Glorious debut album.
Big Glo is following up on her Ehhthang Ehhthang EP with her official debut LP, which is set to drop on October 11th.
The project’s artwork depicts Glo channeling ’90s R&B while charging with exciting features, showcasing GloRilla’s versatility and appeal across different musical worlds.
GloRilla reunites with “Wanna Be” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion for another fiery track and taps artists like Sexyy Red, Latto, and T-Pain for bold and dynamic songs. Other notable appearances on the album include Bossman Dlow, Muni Long, Fridayy, Chandler Moore, and gospel powerhouse Kierra Sheard.
“GLORIOUS Feature list Revealed who yall most excited to hear,” she captioned the Instagram post, which included slides with portraits of the guest list that resembled her vintage R&B cover art.
Franklin and his openness to cross-genre collaborations has previously teamed up with artists like Lil Baby for “We Win” and Chance the Rapper on “Finish Line/ Drown.” Now, he’s joining forces with GloRilla, a rising star in the hip-hop world. This partnership brings Glorious an intriguing mix of gospel and rap energy, setting it apart as a genre-bending project.
Fans are eager to hear what the GloRilla x Kirk Franklin collaboration will sound like and how their two distinct styles will blend on Glorious.
Other highlights from Glo’s 2024 include opening for Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour, which ended in June, and meeting President Joe Biden at the White House in March.
