Entrepreneur, investor, and social impact leader Arian Simone is raising her voice against widening global wealth gaps through a bold initiative called Fearless Freedom.
Fearless Freedom is a global advocacy movement dedicated to dismantling economic inequality and advancing financial inclusion, especially for women of color and marginalized communities worldwide.
In a powerful Instagram post and accompanying video, Simone, CEO and founding partner of the Fearless Fund, reflected on a legal battle that nearly halted their mission two years ago, but instead served as the catalyst for a global response.
“Storms don’t break us—they build us,” she said, referring to the litigation that challenged the Fund’s work in August 2023.
That adversity, Simone explains, gave birth to a broader movement: Fearless Freedom.
“Fearless Freedom is a bold global advocacy initiative to combat economic inequality and champion true economic freedom,” Simone declared in the video. “It’s about uniting voices from every corner of the world around one mission: global economic inclusion.”
According to Simone, Fearless Freedom is not just a campaign, it is a platform for advocacy in action. It blends storytelling, policy conversations, and creative programming to confront the inequities that continue to suppress economic opportunity for many.
A Data-Backed Fight for Inclusion
Fearless Freedom takes aim at the structural barriers that prevent communities from accessing capital and opportunities to thrive. The statistics are sobering:
- 1.4 billion people around the world remain “unbanked,” with little or no access to financial institutions.
- Women of color are often the most active founders in entrepreneurship, yet remain the least funded.
- Black entrepreneurs globally receive less than 1% of venture capital funding.
These disparities, Simone emphasized, are not isolated to the U.S. “They are global issues that require a collective and intentional response.”
