Katie Miller, a conservative podcaster and the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, made an unusual appeal on Fox News late Thursday, publicly urging former Vice President Kamala Harris to launch another presidential bid in 2028.

Appearing on Hannity, Miller told host Sean Hannity that she had come on the program to “beg” Harris to reenter the race, framing a potential rematch with President Donald Trump as something she eagerly welcomes.

“There’s nothing I’d like to see more than the President Trump–Kamala Harris rematch of 2028,” Miller said. “I know all of your viewers are equally as excited as me to see that.”

Miller’s comments followed renewed online speculation about Harris’s political future after activity resumed on her campaign account on X this week for the first time since the 2024 election. The post quickly sparked rumors of a possible comeback bid, drawing mixed reactions from supporters and critics alike.

Those rumors were tamped down a day later when the account was rebranded as “Headquarters,” a new media initiative launched in partnership with People for the American Way, a progressive advocacy organization. According to a post announcing the shift, the project is intended to function as a “Gen-Z led progressive content hub.”

In a launch video, Harris described the platform as a space to follow current events and reconnect with progressive leaders. “It’s where you can go online to get basically the latest of what’s going on, and also to meet and revisit with some of our great, courageous leaders,” she said.

Since the rebrand, the account has focused largely on criticizing President Trump, posting commentary and responses to clips from his recent interviews and speeches.

During her Fox News appearance, Miller dismissed the initiative’s relevance, mocking Harris’s loss to Trump and pointing to Republican control of Congress. She questioned why Americans should “care” about the new account and reiterated her hope that Harris would run again.

“Again, I would love for her to run in ’28, Sean. Please,” Miller said, prompting Hannity to joke that he could give Harris a call.

The exchange came as Trump himself fueled fresh controversy in an NBC News interview released Wednesday, where he appeared to flirt with the idea of seeking a constitutionally prohibited third term. Asked whether he envisioned any scenario in which he would still be president in January 2029, Trump replied, “I don’t know. It would be interesting.”

Trump also declined to name a preferred successor for the 2028 Republican nomination, praising both Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio while insisting there was “three years to go” before any decision would be made.
