“POSE” Star Angelica Ross’ 2nd Annual TransTech Summit

Angelica Ross is a leading figure of success and strength in the movement for trans and racial equality and is one of the stars of Ryan Murphy’s hit FX series “Pose.” 

As she wraps up the show’s first season, Angelica’s attentions are firmly on her company, TransTech Social Enterprises of where she serves as CEO. TransTech is a creative design firm and training academy that “aims to empower, educate, and employ the trans community through the use of technology while promoting innovation, independence, and entrepreneurship.”

October will be TransTech’s 2nd annual summit.

Ross will be bringing the summit to Chicago on Saturday, October 20th from 8:30 AM-8: 30 PM at the Groupon Headquarters (600 W. Chicago Avenue). If you’re not in Chicago, you’ll be able to stream the entire Summit live on the website! 

The TransTech Summit will focus on helping students and professionals of all ages to Find Your Super Power! The 2nd annual TransTech Summit will have workshops in Web/App Technology, Media Technology, Design Technology, and Business Technology.

About Ross

As an actress, Ross is known for her starring role in the Emmy Award-nominated short-form series “Her Story,” about the dating lives of trans and queer women in Los Angeles, which received Special Recognition at the GLAAD Media Awards. Ross has also had guest roles on “Transparent,” an arc on the TNT hit series “Claws,” and lends her voice on Amazon’s “Danger & Eggs.” Ross is also working behind the camera, executive producing and starring in the short film “Missed Connections,” which went on to be an official selection at Outfest 2017, the La Femme International Film festival 2017 and at the Baltimore International Black Film Festival 2017.

Angelica continues to engage leaders both at home and abroad, teaching, entertaining, and consulting for organizational change that creates space for the rich experiences of trans people and people of color to speak, share their value and create lasting success. For her activism, she has been awarded the Be Amazing Award by the Transgender National Alliance, the Trailblazer Award for Black Trans Advocacy and the Visibility Award from the Human Rights Campaign. Ross is also now a celebrity ambassador to the 50th Anniversary Stonewall celebration, which will celebrate next June 2019 during Pride. Previous celebrity ambassadors include Chelsea Clinton, Anna Wintour, Laverne Cox, Jussie Smollett and Phillip Picardi.
