The pregnant girlfriend to Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti has made shocking allegations about the Magnolia star, claiming he choked her over a paternity test.
According to police documents obtained by TMZ, the woman said she thought she was going to die after the 26-year-old star pushed and choked her until she could barely breathe.
Documents show the incident took place back in December and the alleged victim was 14 weeks pregnant at the time. The woman, whose name is unidentified, said she has been in a relationship with the entertainer, born Jordan Carter, for two years and has lived with him since July 2022.
She further revealed that the dispute happened over a conversation she wanted to have with Playboi Carti about the baby and a paternity test. She says the conversation led to a verbal altercation, which led to a physical fight.
When she attempted to leave after he psychically abused her, she says he attacked her again as she attempted to flee in her vehicle. He then attempted to pull her out of her car and placed his hand over her mouth as she tried to call the police using an SOS feature inside her vehicle.
When officers arrived on the scene, she had visible injuries and bruises on her chest, back and neck, police say.
“Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office,” his attorney Brian Steel told TMZ. “This case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”
Playboi Carti was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault.
The rapper has faced legal issues in the past. In 2017, he punched a driver in Scotland and was fined £800 ($850). Then in 2020, he was arrested on gun and drug-related charges after police found 12 bags of marijuana, three guns, Xanax, codeine and oxycodone in his Lamborghini that had expired tags.
