The actor, famously known for his role in Mufasa: The Lion King, just shared intimate photos from his surprise 31st birthday bash, all orchestrated by his “one of one” Teyana.

The internet has been in a delightful frenzy since footage surfaced of the two sweetly kissing at Pierre’s birthday party, making it clear their romance was brewing. The actor is officially recapping the epic celebration and, more importantly, giving major props to his lady for pulling off such a fantastic surprise. In an Instagram post simply captioned “Thirty-Won!”, the actor reflected on reaching this milestone with genuine gratitude, giving thanks to God for another year of life and personal growth.
“Father God, Thank you for blessing me with another year. Another opportunity to evolve, grow, mature, and refine. All the light is You; the missteps are mine,” Pierre thoughtfully wrote.
But the real heart-melter was when he also took a beautiful moment to shower his “one of one” Teyana with appreciation for orchestrating what he lovingly called a “beautiful day”. Pierre wrapped up his heartfelt post by thanking his friends, family, and fans for their unwavering love and support, writing, “It is never lost on me. Endlessly grateful”.
Romance rumors around Taylor and Pierre started swirling months ago. Back in March, they posed together at the 2025 Oscars Vanity Fair afterparty, and both shared the picture on their respective Instagram pages. One image showed them looking cool, back-to-back, staring directly at the camera. Other snaps had them striking dramatic poses. They also made an appearance together at the American Black Film Festival Honors on February 17, where the musician and the Mufasa: The Lion King actor were reportedly photographed sitting together and deep in conversation.
Teyana Taylor herself even seemed to subtly confirm their romance when she seemingly called Pierre her “apple pie” while accepting the inaugural Innovator Award at the Apollo Spring Benefit 2025 in Harlem on Wednesday, June 4.
For those keeping track, Taylor was previously married to NBA star Iman Shumpert. She officially filed for divorce in January 2023, and the former couple announced their separation later that year.
