Woman Captures Alleged Hate Crime On Cam After ‘Racist White’ Man Choked Her Daughter

A Black mother in Buffalo, New York, is calling for justice after a disturbing incident in which a white man allegedly physically assaulted her daughter and hurled racial slurs during a road rage confrontation.

The mother, Adreana Jemison, shared a video of the encounter and detailed the incident in a Facebook post that has since drawn widespread attention from activists and supporters online.

According to Jemison, the confrontation occurred around 6:59 a.m. while she was driving her daughter to school.

She alleges the man pulled up beside them, began yelling racial slurs, and grabbed her daughter, reportedly saying:

“I’m sick of you people, you nggrs — of course it’s you cutting me off.”

The disturbing exchange, partially captured on video and reshared by mental health advocate and content creator Kenidra Woods Flamenco (@kenidra4humanity), shows the man escalating the encounter by using the N-word multiple times and approaching Jemison aggressively, even after she stated she was recording the incident and intended to press charges.

“My daughter was a kid, and you put your hands on her,” Jemison can be heard saying in the video. “You thought I wasn’t gonna follow you?”

Though the man—identified by Woods as Justin Goodrich—was arrested, the Buffalo Police Department reportedly declined to classify the case as a hate crime, a decision that has outraged Jemison and community members.

Jemison is now pursuing a hate crime charge, arguing that the physical attack and racial epithets clearly meet the legal definition of a racially motivated crime.

The case has gained attention on social media due to Woods’ viral post, which highlighted the lack of formal hate crime charges and the emotional toll on Jemison’s family.

Woods explained that Jemison’s daughter is now afraid to go to school and that the family is seeking legal representation and therapy support.

“These racists aren’t hiding anymore,” Woods wrote, adding, “It’s crazy how many people raised money for the other woman (Shiloh Hendrix) who called a Black child the N-word recently… Please consider helping this mother by donating or simply sharing this post.”

A GoFundMe link to support Jemison’s legal fees and her daughters’ trauma recovery has been included in Woods’ Instagram bio.

The case reflects broader concerns about the rise in racially motivated violence and the reluctance of law enforcement to treat such acts as hate crimes, especially when Black victims are involved.
