U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett has launched a sharp critique of Donald Trump, accusing him and Republican lawmakers of hypocrisy over recent U.S. actions involving Venezuela.

In a social media post accompanied by remarks on the House floor, Crockett argued that Republicans are applying inconsistent standards when defending the legality of U.S. military actions abroad.

“Don’t let them play in your face — this is selective outrage,” she said, adding, “Donald Trump is corrupt — always has been, always will be.”

During her speech, Crockett referenced the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein files, using it as a hypothetical comparison to challenge Republican positions on international law and accountability.

She suggested that if another country were to take unilateral military action against the United States in pursuit of allegations tied to those files, Americans—particularly Trump’s supporters—would strongly oppose it.

“If there are other countries that believe… they have a warrant for his arrest… and they decide to come and bomb America… every single one of you… would be screaming from the rooftops,” Crockett said.

Her remarks come amid renewed political tensions over both U.S. foreign policy and the handling of documents linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. The issue has remained a flashpoint in Washington, with lawmakers from both parties calling for greater transparency around the files.

Crockett argued that the issue was a legal and moral consistency one, stressing that the same standards should apply regardless of political affiliation.

“The analysis has to be the same,” she said. “If you would be outraged if they came and bombed our country… then we should be against it right now.”

The Texas Democrat has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics, frequently raising concerns about accountability and the rule of law, particularly in relation to the Epstein investigation and broader questions of executive authority.
