Ciara’s Father’s Day tribute to her husband, Russell Wilson, had everything: sweet words, heartfelt praise, and, of course, a fresh dose of baby fever.
The Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to honor her NFL star hubby, showering him with love in a post that perfectly captured their growing family and his role as super dad.
“You show up for our babies in the biggest way every day! Your love, dedication, leadership, and presence make all the difference!” Ciara gushed. And she didn’t stop there. “You inspire us so much! We are so grateful for you! Thanks for being the amazing Father you are, @DangeRussWilson! You really are the best! Happy Father’s Day! We love you so much!”
The caption was pure love. But it was what happened next that had the internet laughing and side-eyeing in equal measure.
Russell reposted the tribute with a warm message of his own. “Y’all make my world go round.” But then, in true Russell fashion, he dropped the line that had fans clutching their phones: “P.S… you kissin’ me like u ready @ciara… put 5 on it… ‘Cinco’ Wilson. It rings.”
Russell started the “Cinco” campaign shortly after their daughter Amora was born in December 2023. In a sit-down with Access Hollywood, Ciara joked, “Amora came out, and he starts talking about ‘Cinco.’ I’m like, ‘That’s just disrespectful! Do you know what I just went through?'”
But Russell hasn’t let up from dropping comments under Ciara’s glam photos (“We can call him Cinco”) to playful jabs on Carnival videos (“This my mating call I see… Cinco goin’ to be on di way!”). He’s kept the running joke alive and made it very public.
Even on Mother’s Day, Wilson took the opportunity to push his baby’s agenda. “You are so good at this Mom thing, let’s have another,” he posted. Ciara, with her usual grace, replied, “This campaign is strong… truth is, I already have Cinco with you.”
