Praxis Labs, recognized for its innovative VR-based platform, has been pivotal in reshaping how companies like Google, Uber, and ServiceNow approach diversity training and inclusion initiatives.
“Our goal is to leverage technology to facilitate better human interactions, foster feedback across differences, navigate difficult conversations, and promote inclusive leadership,” Smith explained in a recent interview with AFROTECH. “The demand for these solutions in workplaces has never been greater.”
Founded with a mission to create equitable workplace environments, Praxis Labs has secured substantial funding, totaling $18.7 million to date, as reported by digitalundivided.
This includes a significant Series A funding round of $15.5 million in 2021, led by Norwest Venture Partners and Emerson Collective, among others.

Recently, Praxis Labs launched a groundbreaking new product featuring Generative AI-driven immersive learning experiences tailored for people leaders.
This platform offers simulations covering crucial topics such as managing divisive conversations, leading performance reviews, and navigating cross-cultural conflicts.
Early results indicate significant benefits for organizations using Praxis Labs’ solutions, with a reported 68% increase in employee retention among learners using the Pivotal Practice platform.
This impact is particularly pronounced among underrepresented groups, with 75% of Black and Latino team members expressing greater job satisfaction and likelihood to stay.
