Halle Bailey is living her best life, and it looks like she’s got a new man off-screen! The Little Mermaid star was photographed getting cozy with a handsome, loc’d mystery boo while sailing around Italy, sparking rumors that she’s officially moved on from DDG amid their messy custody battle over their son, Halo.
While she’s currently filming an upcoming movie overseas, Halle clearly made time to soak in the sun and some romance. Photos obtained by The Shade Room and TMZ show Halle and an unidentified Black man looking very couple-like: exchanging kisses, snapping cute pictures of each other, and vibing in full vacation mode.
The mystery man, who rocked long locs and beachwear, has yet to be identified, but one thing’s clear: he and Halle were not trying to hide. In the flicks, Halle rocks a thong bikini and poses playfully while her dreadhead companion captures shots on his phone. At one point, the two are seen giggling, splashing in the water, and sharing a kiss on the lips.
This surprise boo’d up moment comes just weeks after Halle was granted temporary sole custody of her one-year-old son, Halo, following a contentious legal battle with ex-boyfriend and YouTuber DDG. In May, she accused DDG of abuse and was granted the right to travel abroad with Halo while filming. The court case isn’t over, though. Another hearing is scheduled for later this month to determine the final custody arrangement.
Back in June, DDG filed a motion to stop Halle from taking Halo out of the country. Though he was granted a temporary restraining order, Halle ultimately maintained custody and jetted off to Italy with her son. DDG, meanwhile, has been fueling rumors of a new romance himself, this time with influencer India Love, after being spotted getting cozy in recent weeks.
But Halle doesn’t seem pressed. She’s in yacht life mode, sipping her peace with a new man, and looking as unbothered as ever.
No word yet from her team about this new love interest, but based on the kisses, the cuddles, and the chemistry, this definitely isn’t a “just friends” situation.
