Mo’Nique Unhinged: Actress and Comedian Takes Shots at Oprah, Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart

Actress and comedian Mo’Nique is following in the footsteps of her fellow colleague Katt Williams after an explosive interview she had with Shannon Sharpe on his hit YouTube podcast, Club Shay Shay.

In the tell-all conversation with the former NFL star, the 56-year-old Baltimore native dished about her time in Hollywood and made it clear about beefs she has with Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart and even the legendary TV treasure herself: Ms. Oprah Winfrey.

“If I was a white woman, my name would be Melissa McCarthy,” she said on the podcast. “Same track record. Five-year sitcom in syndication. Same track record. The opportunities are not the same.”

She further went on to say she was blackballed in Hollywood for taking shots at Netflix and other Hollywood stars.

In 2022, Mo’Nique, born Monique Angela Hicks, settled a discrimination lawsuit against lawsuit against the streaming giant.

The matter has been “amicably resolved,” the comedian’s attorney told The Hollywood Reporter at the time the news broke.

Since then, she has partnered with the video-on-demand streaming service to create her first comedy special.

“Can y’all believe this?” said Mo’Nique in the clip. “I done came on home to Netflix.”

Mo’Nique further spilled tea on Tiffany Haddish during the almost three-hour-long conversation on the show.

In a GQ interview, Haddish was reported as saying “My business run different than her business. I don’t live her life. I don’t have that husband of hers,” in response to the lawsuit she was going through with Netflix at the time.

“When I saw that, it’s like, Tiffany, if you had a husband like mine, you may not have two DUIs,” Mo’Nique fired back. “If you had a husband like mine, you may not be caught up in what looks like you could have been grooming a child.”

The Oscar-winning Precious star was referring to the Girl’s Trip star’s DUI charge after she was found driving under the influence of alcohol in November 2022.

A year before, Haddish was under fire after a lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in which it was alleged she “groomed” and “molested” two underage siblings.

According to legal documents, the actress – along with comedian Aries Spears, who is named co-defendant in the lawsuit – encouraged a 14-year-old girl to perform fellatio on a sandwich in 2013. One year later, the lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears featured a seven-year-old boy in a skit in which he was asked to strip down to his underwear. The plaintiffs in the suit have adopted the names Jane Doe and John Doe in the suit’s filings. They are now 22 and 15, respectively.

Mo’Nique went on to call out Oprah because the former talk show host invited her estranged family on her show in 2010 without her knowledge.

“You betrayed me, sister,” she said of Winfrey, adding that “family is sacred, and we don’t cross the line with family.”

In regard to Kevin Hart, she claimed that following her appearance on the comedian’s podcast, Hart purportedly extended an offer to collaborate with her as an executive producer on any projects she desired. However, Mo’Nique asserted that when she attempted to pursue this offer, she discovered that Hart’s manager was purportedly spreading the word that Hart had no interest in being associated with her in any capacity.
