Beyoncé’s philanthropic endeavors continue to shine through her BeyGood charity, and her latest contribution is no exception.

The global superstar has donated $500,000 in grants to support Black cowboys as part of the annual Bill Pickett Rodeo circuit, further solidifying her commitment to uplifting marginalized communities.

In partnership with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, the longest-running Black rodeo association, Beyoncé’s generous half-a-million-dollar donation will fund the newly-established Black Equestrians Program.

This initiative is dedicated to supporting Black horse riders, ranchers, and the rich culture they uphold, all of which have gained renewed attention during the singer’s “Cowboy Carter” era.

The significant donation was announced during the rodeo’s Atlanta event on August 3, as reported by USA Today.

In addition to the large grant, BeyGood also awarded $25,000 grants to four other organizations, including SC Black Farmers and The Black Cultural Enlightenment Society/Black Cowboy Festival.

These organizations are committed to educating Black youth about farming, agriculture, and equestrianism, and with BeyGood’s support, they can expand their programming and further preserve Black cowboy culture.

Beyoncé’s recent reclamation of her country roots and celebration of Black people’s contributions to country music have taken center stage with her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” released on March 29.

The album has sparked a movement encouraging Black Americans to embrace and celebrate their heritage, and Beyoncé has been at the forefront, proudly representing her Texan roots.

Most recently, Beyoncé donned a red, white, and blue cowboy hat in a commercial supporting Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics, further showcasing her dedication to uplifting her community and her country.

BeyGood continues to support Black entrepreneurship across various sectors, many of which are deeply connected to Beyoncé’s own background.

In celebration of the launch of her hair care line, Cécred, Beyoncé provided grants to Black-owned hair salons and offered scholarships to aspiring Black hair stylists in cosmetology programs.

BeyGood remains steadfast in its mission to empower Black entrepreneurs, business owners, and communities in need of disaster relief.
