Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced Thursday that she will embark on a 15-city book tour this fall to promote her forthcoming memoir, 107 Days. The tour will begin September 24, one day after the book’s release, and conclude in late November at Miami’s Ziff Opera House.
Harris unveiled the tour in a short social media video that listed stops across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., including New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and London. The video featured clips from her abbreviated 2024 presidential campaign, which ended after then-President Joe Biden unexpectedly dropped out of the race.
Describing the book as “a journal,” Harris has said it will recount her perspective on that turbulent period in national politics. Publisher Simon & Schuster said the memoir will provide “what she saw, what she learned, and what it will take to move forward.” Most of the events are scheduled in theaters and music halls, with moderators yet to be announced.
In a move that reflects her broader outreach strategy, Harris has partnered with several small and independent bookstores in cities along the tour. According to a source familiar with the planning, the former vice president intentionally expanded the itinerary to include less traditional markets such as Portland, Oregon, and Durham, North Carolina. Additional surprise visits beyond the official tour stops are also under consideration.
Notably, Harris will make appearances in politically conservative states, including Texas, Tennessee, and Alabama, a decision that is likely to spark fresh speculation about her long-term political ambitions.
Though she ruled out a 2026 run for California governor in July, Harris has signaled a desire to stay engaged in national conversations. “I want to travel the country. I want to listen to people, I want to talk with people, and I don’t want it to be transactional,” she told Stephen Colbert in a recent interview.
Two sources close to Harris told NBC News last month that she is keeping the door open for a possible 2028 presidential run.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, with premium packages offering a signed copy of the book and a photo opportunity with Harris.
